TWO SANDLOTT Wood Bat Players Drafted

Two SANDLOTT Wood Bat League players from the 2007 season and the Stingers team were recently drafted in the MLB 08 draft. Sean Connor went in the 10th round to the Reds and Austin Armstrong went in the 29th round to the Nationals.
Murfreesboro Diamondbacks' King inks with Lambuth

GNABA and SANDLOTT 18u News: Darren King of the Murfreesboro Diamondbacks, a RHP from Nashville Christian High School has inked to continue his baseball career with NAIA member Lambuth University in Jackson, TN. Lambuth placed second in the final Transouth Conference standings and advanced to the Region XI tournament. King played for the Nashville Knights in 2007 and plays his high school ball for former Nashville Knight Coach Eric Fruechtemeyer. King boasts a 7-1 record heading into postseason play for Nashville Christian.

The Pitch & Hit Club of Chicago recognized Fletcher Baseball as the Youth Organization of the Year! The Pitch and Hit Club of Chicago is a professional baseball organization that promotes the game of baseball in the Chicago area. The Pitch and Hit Club was formed by a group of Major League players and scouts in January of 1942. The mission of the Pitch and Hit club of Chicago is to be the preeminent professional baseball organization by recognizing and honoring the achievements of those in the professional baseball community.
John Mitchell to receive prestigious award

GNABA and SANDLOTT 12u News: The Sandlotter would like to take this opportunity to congratulate John Mitchell on being inducted into the Metro Nashville Public Schools Sports Hall of Fame. John is a graduate of Overton High School and pitched in the major leagues for the New York Mets and Baltimore Orioles. The private induction ceremony will be conducted this Tuesday, April 15th at LP Field at 11am. John is the coach of the GNABA and SANDLOTT 12u Shoetiques team.
